5. The ’67 suffered from the endemic vague steering found in all ’60s-era GM cars. The first step in fixing this was to remove the stock steering box. After disconnecting the rag joint from the steering column, we unbolted the box from the frame where it was secured by three bolts. To make life easier, we went ahead and removed the power brake booster since it hindered access to the rag joint coupler.
