With the machine work done, we went over to Don Lee Auto in Rancho Cucamonga, California, to put it all together. After thoroughly cleaning the block, in went the cam bearings (PN SUM-173000, $11.95) we got from Summit. For this, we needed to use a specialized tool. If you don’t have one, then you can have the bearings installed at the machine shop for around $60. Each cam bearing is specific to its location, so make sure to follow the included instructions. We also installed the Clevite main bearings that came with the Eagle rotating kit.
