Since oil from the rearward-most scavenge port must travel the farthest distance to the oil pump, it is ¼ inch larger in diameter than the other two ports. Pressurized oil can be fed from the pump back into the block at several different locations. The ARE pan has an integrated port (bottom left) that directs oil into the factory oil filter location.
