The butyl is a tar-like rope and leaves a sticky mess behind. We first scraped the channel with a plastic windshield stick from Kent and cleaned with Kent Acrysol. Lucky for us, we had repaired dash rust five years ago with KBS products. Typically you'll find at least a little surface rust to address. View Related Article
