Installing the front shocks was a bit challenging due to the nature of the Bilstein shocks. On some shocks we’re able to collapse the shock by hand, but no so with these. Bilstein explained, “As mono-tube gas shocks, Bilstein’s employ high-pressure gas to deliver the most responsive valving for ultimate control. This pressure, called the gas reactive force, and Bilstein's high-quality internal seals, force the shaft to be extended.” Still, with a bit of effort we got the fronts bolted in place.
