Before the race there was a driver’s meeting where all the rules were reviewed and the importance of safety emphasized. Afterwards, veteran driver Mark Stielow gave all the other participants some pointers on the 2.1-mile Spring Mountain road course. This kind of sportsmanship is what sets this event apart from others. Even though we were all there to win, we still remembered that the real goal was to have fun with fellow car nuts.
