Race Gauge

Dakota Digital is proud to unveil their newest release in their popular VHX Series of instrumentation: the VHX-1100. Offering a machined aluminum instrument housing, lighted needles, backlit faces, and a full character message center for all displays, the VHX Series provides a fresh approach to outfitting a full-time or part-time track car. Checking in at 10.75x6 inches, the small footprint is no match for the huge feature list. The VHX Series utilizes solid-state sensors and precision stepper motors for the ultimate in accuracy, coupled with a limited lifetime warranty for complete support both now and in the future. The VHX Series utilizes either a stock or aftermarket wiring harness, and either a stock, modified, or late-model drivetrain. Systems are available with a blue or red display color and either a satin-silver or carbon-fiber style face.

Competent Clutch

Centerforce's DYAD DS multi-disc clutch design has been developed to meet the needs of modern high-end vehicles and is available for Chevrolet 6.2L (376 ci) LS9 nine-bolt crank crate engines (PN 04614869 features pressure plate, disc set, floater, flywheel, and hardware). Today's technology has allowed for engine torque to exceed unprecedented levels and still be driven every day. Drivers need a clutch that can offer smooth engagement, quiet operation, light pedal feel, and high-end holding capacity. This new multi-disc clutch system replaces the current pressure plate, disc, and flywheel assembly with a higher holding capacity system designed for a direct bolt-in replacement.

Tubular Crossmember

To accommodate popular drivetrain combinations, Chris Alston's Chassisworks manufactures direct bolt-in tubular transmission crossmembers available for GM F-body ('67- 81 Camaro and Firebird) vehicles equipped with factory subframes or Chassisworks' g-Machine subframe. Crossmembers are 1.25x.120-inch wall steel, dual-tube, fully enclosed structures that are stronger than OEM stamped designs and rigid enough for the vehicle to benefit from stiff polyurethane transmission mounts. The tubes are bent to provide clearance for up to a 3-inch dual exhaust, and to correctly position the mount for each model transmission. Direct-fit transmission crossmembers are available for Turbo 350, Turbo 400, Powerglide, 700-R4, 200-4R, 4L60, 4L65E, Muncie four-speed, Richmond five- or six-speed, and many Tremec five- or six-speed transmissions.

Quick-Silver Calipers

Wilwood is pleased to announce a new Quick-Silver finish available on select Wilwood calipers. The Quick-Silver finish provides excellent wear and abrasion resistance in conjunction with corrosion protection for your high-performance brake system components. The finish features a lustrous silver color derived from a durable proprietary nickel plating process that exhibits superior wear characteristics. The excellent deposit uniformity allows plating of various curvatures including blind holes and the inner diameter of the caliper piston bores while exhibiting excellent lubricity for improved piston-to-bore wear. Additionally, its leveling, smoothing, and barrier characteristics provide superior corrosion resistance inside and outside of the entire caliper body. Superior Quick-Silver finish is available on select Wilwood calipers at an additional cost.

Strut Tower Brace

Minimize strut tower deflection in your fifth-gen Camaro with a bolt-in strut tower brace from BMR Suspension. Constructed from a combination of 1.25-inch and 1-inch heavy-wall tubing, this product maintains front end stability during hard cornering by eliminating tower deflection. The BMR Strut Tower Brace (PN STB017) bolts in directly to the top of the strut towers using existing mounting holes (no drilling required). The high clearance design fits both V-6 and V-8 models and permits easy engine cover removal. Available in black hammertone or red powdercoat.

Telescoping Tilt Column

Flaming River's new Telescoping Tilt Column enables 1-inch of column adjustability by simply moving the steering wheel towards or away from the driver. A spring-loaded design utilizes a billet lever for smooth and easy adjustment for driver comfort and clearance. The styling is based on the early Corvette steering column-sleek and streamlined with 2-inch diameter stainless tubing. The columns are made in the USA and come in standard 30- or 32-inch lengths with other lengths available through their custom-manufacturing program and are available in paintable mill, black powdercoat, and polished stainless finishes.

Much Improved

Improved Racing has released a thermostatic version of its popular low-profile oil cooler adapter. The built-in thermostat helps protect the engine by reducing warm-up time and maintaining oil temperatures at optimal levels when using an oil cooler. The thermostat starts to open at 180 degrees and is fully open by 200 degrees, ensuring oil temperatures do not drop below 180 degrees in most conditions. With the angled front cutout and a maximum thickness of just 1.30 inch, this thermostatic version is still slim enough to clear most long-tube headers. The adapter features a 1/8-inch NPT port for an oil sensor or turbo oil supply. It's machined from a single piece of 6061-T6 aluminum and is black-anodized. Included are anodized adapter fittings for -8AN or -10AN lines.
